  9. This port of fbm was made using SAS/C 5.10 and FFP maths. The sources were
  10. ftp'ed directly from mlm.cs.cmu.edu.

  12. Version 1.0 of fbm does include full PCX support which is a new feature in
  13. this version.
  14. Some of the new utilities are not described in the manual set. For
  15. reference look to the source code.

  17. Not included is fbham, because it seems to be very buggy.

  19. The programs were translated without stack checking, so be careful with
  20. your stack settings. For me a stack of 100000 bytes works in all cases.
  21. A special version of fbquant (fbquant_secure) with stack checking is
  22. provided for those with less memory. fbquant uses some recursive procedures,
  23. which eat up some stack space on every call.
